Description
About the Product
The Lauritz Knudsen EM90970OOOO is an Extended Rotary Operating Mechanism (Extended ROM) designed for DY125U series MCCBs, enabling external ON/OFF control of the breaker from outside the panel enclosure.
Unlike direct rotary mechanisms, the extended ROM uses a shaft extension system, allowing the operator to control the MCCB from the front panel even when the breaker is mounted deep inside an enclosure. This makes it especially valuable for large panel boards, deep enclosures, & industrial control cabinets, where direct access to the breaker is limited.
The extended mechanism significantly enhances operator safety by eliminating the need to open panels or access live components during operation. It ensures smooth & reliable switching, supporting safe disconnection & controlled operation of the electrical system.
Designed for seamless compatibility with DY125U MCCBs, the extended ROM offers easy installation, robust mechanical performance, & long operational life. It is an essential accessory for modern electrical systems that require ergonomic control, safety compliance, & improved panel accessibility.
This accessory is ideal for applications requiring remote manual operation, safe isolation, & enhanced usability in complex panel environments.
How the Mechanism Works
The switching contacts carry normal current & open when the trip system detects an overload or short-circuit condition, interrupting the fault path.
Electrical Configuration
Choose the stated pole configuration & current, voltage, & breaking-capacity ratings to match the circuit & its prospective fault level.
Construction & Design
A compact insulating body integrates the operating mechanism, contacts, arc-control components, terminals, & trip elements for reliable circuit protection.
Safety & Protection
Provides circuit isolation & overcurrent protection when correctly selected, coordinated, installed, & operated within its published ratings.
Mounting & Durability
Install on the applicable DIN rail or panel system with secure conductors, correct torque, & adequate enclosure clearance for repeated operation.
Application Domains
Suitable for power distribution & circuit protection in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, & OEM panels.
