Description
About the Product
Exora MCB 40A FP 415V AC 10kA B Curve is a four pole miniature circuit breaker designed to protect three phase electrical systems with neutral from overload & short circuit conditions. It ensures complete circuit isolation by disconnecting all three phases along with the neutral simultaneously.
How the Mechanism Works
The MCB operates using a thermal magnetic protection mechanism. The thermal element detects overload conditions across all phases, while the magnetic mechanism provides instantaneous tripping during short circuit faults. In the four pole configuration, all conductors including neutral are disconnected together.
Electrical Configuration
This is a four pole (FP) MCB rated at 40A current, suitable for 415V AC three-phase systems, with a 10kA breaking capacity. It features a B curve tripping characteristic, making it ideal for circuits with moderate inrush currents.
• Safety / protection aspects
• The four pole design ensures complete isolation of all three phases & neutral, significantly enhancing safety during fault conditions & maintenance. It protects electrical systems, wiring, & connected equipment while reducing risks of electrical hazards & fire.
Construction & Design
A compact insulating body integrates the operating mechanism, contacts, arc-control components, terminals, & trip elements for reliable circuit protection.
Safety & Protection
Provides circuit isolation & overcurrent protection when correctly selected, coordinated, installed, & operated within its published ratings.
Mounting & Durability
Designed for DIN rail mounting, the breaker allows easy installation in three-phase distribution panels. Its robust & heavy-duty construction ensures long-term durability & reliable performance even under high-load operating conditions.
Application Domains
Suitable for industrial & commercial applications such as three-phase distribution systems, machinery, HVAC systems, control panels, & electrical installations requiring full isolation including neutral.
