Description
About the Product
The Tripper Isolator 40A FP 415V AC is a reliable & efficient isolation device designed for complete disconnection of three phase electrical circuits along with the neutral conductor. It is used for maintenance, servicing, & operational safety, ensuring secure isolation without providing protection against overload or short circuit faults.
With a 40A current rating, this isolator is suitable for medium load three phase systems such as motors, control panels, & distribution boards. The four pole (FP) configuration ensures simultaneous disconnection of all three phases & the neutral, providing total circuit isolation & enhanced safety.
How the Isolator Work
The isolator operates as a manual switching device:
• Allows manual ON/OFF switching of electrical circuits
• Disconnects all three phases along with the neutral simultaneously
• Provides safe isolation for maintenance & servicing
• Ensures zero current flow when switched OFF
• Does not trip automatically (manual operation only)
Technical Specifications

FAQs
1. What is an FP isolator?
Ans: An FP (Four Pole) isolator disconnects all three phases along with the neutral for complete system isolation.
2. Does this isolator provide overload protection?
Ans: No, isolators do not provide protection. They must be used with MCBs or RCBOs.
3. Where is a 40A FP isolator used?
Ans: It is used in three phase systems requiring full isolation, including neutral, such as industrial panels & control systems.
4. Can this isolator trip automatically?
Ans: No, it operates manually & does not include any automatic tripping feature.
5. Why is neutral isolation important?
Ans: Neutral isolation ensures complete circuit disconnection, improving safety during maintenance & fault conditions.
6. What is the difference between TP & FP isolator?
Ans: TP isolators disconnect only the three phases, while FP isolators disconnect three phases plus the neutral.
7. How is this isolator installed?
Ans: It is installed on a DIN rail inside a distribution board or electrical panel.
