Description
About the Product
The Tripper RCCB 40A DP 240V AC 30mA is a high-performance Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) designed to provide advanced protection against earth leakage faults. It safeguards users from electric shock & helps prevent electrical hazards caused by insulation failure or leakage currents.
With a 40A current rating & a 30mA sensitivity, this RCCB is ideal for circuits that require human safety protection. The double pole (DP) configuration ensures simultaneous disconnection of both phase & neutral conductors, delivering complete isolation during fault conditions.
How the RCCB Works
The RCCB continuously monitors the difference between incoming & outgoing current:
• Detects imbalance between phase & neutral
• Identifies leakage current flowing to earth
• Trips instantly when leakage exceeds 30mA
• Disconnects both phase & neutral simultaneously
• Prevents electric shock & reduces fire risks
This ensures high-level safety for both users & installations.

FAQs
1. What is an RCCB?
Ans: An RCCB is a device that protects against earth leakage currents & electric shock but does not provide overload or short circuit protection.
2. What does 30mA sensitivity mean?
Ans: It means the RCCB trips when leakage current exceeds 30mA, providing protection against electric shock.
3. What does DP mean?
Ans: DP (Double Pole) means both phase & neutral are disconnected simultaneously.
4. Does this RCCB protect against overload?
Ans: No, RCCBs only provide earth leakage protection. An MCB is required for overload & short circuit protection.
5. Where is a 40A RCCB used?
Ans: It is used in residential & commercial circuits such as lighting, sockets, & safety-critical areas.
6. Why is RCCB important?
Ans: It protects users from electric shock & prevents hazards caused by electrical leakage.
7. How is this RCCB installed?
Ans: It is installed on a DIN rail inside a distribution board or electrical panel.
