Description
About the Product
Exora MCB 16A TP 415V AC 10kA B Curve is a triple pole miniature circuit breaker designed to protect three phase electrical circuits from overload & short circuit conditions. It is ideal for low to medium current three-phase systems requiring reliable & efficient protection.
How the Mechanism Works
The MCB operates using a thermal magnetic trip mechanism. The thermal element responds to overload conditions across each phase, while the magnetic mechanism provides instantaneous tripping during short circuit faults. All three poles trip simultaneously to ensure complete isolation of the circuit.
Electrical Configuration
This is a triple pole (TP) MCB rated at 16A current, suitable for 415V AC three-phase systems, with a 10kA breaking capacity. It features a B curve tripping characteristic, ideal for circuits with moderate inrush current.
• Safety / protection aspects
• The triple pole configuration ensures simultaneous disconnection of all three phases, enhancing safety during faults & maintenance. It protects wiring, equipment, & systems from overloads & short circuits, reducing risk of electrical hazards.
Construction & Design
A compact insulating body integrates the operating mechanism, contacts, arc-control components, terminals, & trip elements for reliable circuit protection.
Safety & Protection
Provides circuit isolation & overcurrent protection when correctly selected, coordinated, installed, & operated within its published ratings.
Mounting & Durability
Designed for DIN rail mounting, the breaker allows easy installation in three-phase distribution boards. Its robust construction ensures consistent performance & long-term durability in industrial environments.
Application Domains
Suitable for industrial & commercial applications such as three-phase motors, control panels, lighting systems, & machinery requiring dependable overload protection.

FAQs
1. What is a triple pole MCB used for?
Ans: It protects three-phase circuits by disconnecting all phases simultaneously during overload or fault conditions.
2. What does 16A rating indicate?
Ans: It means the MCB is suitable for circuits carrying up to 16 amperes per phase.
3. What is B curve in MCB?
Ans: B curve is suitable for circuits with moderate inrush current in residential & light industrial applications.
4. What is 10kA breaking capacity?
Ans: It is the maximum fault current the MCB can safely interrupt.
5. Why use TP instead of SP/DP?
Ans: Triple pole MCB is required for three-phase systems where all phases must be protected & isolated together.
6. How is it installed?
Ans: It is mounted on DIN rails inside three-phase distribution boards.
