FAQs
1. What is a TP isolator?
Ans: A TP (Three Pole) isolator disconnects all three phase conductors simultaneously to ensure complete circuit isolation.
2. Does this isolator provide overload protection?
Ans: No, isolators are used only for manual isolation. Protection devices like MCBs or RCBOs are required separately.
3. Where is a 63A TP isolator used?
Ans: It is used in three phase systems such as motors, machinery circuits, & industrial distribution panels.
4. Can this isolator trip automatically?
Ans: No, it operates manually & does not have any automatic tripping mechanism.
5. Why is isolation important in three phase systems?
Ans: Isolation ensures safe maintenance & prevents accidental energization of equipment.
6. What is the difference between TP & DP isolator?
Ans: TP isolators disconnect three phases, while DP isolators disconnect phase & neutral in single-phase systems.
7. How is this isolator installed?
Ans: It is mounted on a DIN rail inside a distribution board or electrical panel.
